Projects: Establishment of the Strategic Organisation for Team Barer

Organisation: Roskilde Festival

Role: Strategist & Project Manager

Year: 2019 - ongoing

Objective: Roskilde Festival’s internal bar setup was fragmented. Each bar project operated separately, leading to siloed teams, excessive workloads, volunteer resignations, and lost know-how. Yet these bars collectively generated millions annually for charity, making organisational stability and strategy critical.

Solution: In 2019 we established a unified organisation across all internal bars, introducing a new leadership team and clear role structures. The goal was to secure continuity, create knowledge-sharing, and strengthen cooperation between bar teams.

As part of the leadership, I worked closely with sponsors and partners, while guiding all bar teams toward success. The new setup allowed us to manage 10 internal bars under one united structure, ensuring smoother operations, volunteer retention, and stronger strategic execution.

The first year already proved the impact: together, we raised over 14 million DKK for charity. The model has continued since, securing long-term organisational sustainability for one of Roskilde Festival’s most important fundraising initiatives.
